Students should be able to; 1. Identify the unstressed vowel sounds 2. Pronounce them and use them appropriately
Students should be able to; 1. To identify consonant clusters in passages or sentences 2. Listen to speeches paying attention to consonant clusters 3. Write sentences containing consonant clusters
Students should be able to; 1. Pronounce correctly the three consonants at initial positions 2. Use them in sentences

Students should be able to; 1. Identify the vowel sound /e/ and /ʒ/ 2. Produce the vowel correctly.

Students should be able to; 1. Identify vowels /i/ and /i:/ 2. Produce the vowels correctly 3. Differentiate between the vowels knowing that /i/ is a short vowel and /I :/ is a long vowel.
Students should be able to; 1. listen and produce the vowel sounds 2. Identify the vowels correctly in sentences 3. List words containing the vowels
