Course Timeline:
Student should be able to 1. State the similarities and differences between (a) Square and rectangle, (b)Triangle and Trapezium, (c) Parallelogram and circle. 2. Find the area of plane shapes. 3. Find the area of real-life objects.
Students should be able to 1. Identify the properties of cubes and cuboids. 2. Identify the properties of pyramids and cones. 3. Identify the properties of cylinders and spheres. 4. Find the volume of cubes and cuboids.
Students should be able to 1. Construct parallel and perpendicular lines. 2. Bisect a given line segment. 3. Construct angles 90° and 60°.
Students should be able to 1. Measure angles. 2. Identify vertically opposite, adjacent and alternative angles. 3. State the properties of angles. 4. Identify angles at a point and angles on straight lines and state their properties.
Students should be able to 1. List the purpose of statistics. 2. Recognise the usefulness of statistics for planning purposes. 3. Apply the occurrence of chance events/application of probabilities in everyday life. 4. Recognise the usefulness of statistics for prediction purposes.
Students should be able to 1. Collect data in the class. 2. Determine the median of a given set of data.
